Junior Nationals qualifier Lexi Goldstone has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Miami University (Ohio) beginning in the fall of 2027.

A senior at Naperville Central High School in Illinois, Goldstone has competed for her school’s varsity swimming and diving team all four years. She currently trains year-round with Hinsdale Swim Club, where she primarily specializes in sprint free and back, as well as some IM.
Goldstone posted a string of top performances at the 2025 FMC Speedo Grand Challenge in November, clocking a personal best time in five events. She placed 4th in the 50 free (23.75 – PB), 7th in the 50 back (26.80), 15th in the 100 back (58.96) and 20th in the 200 free (1:54.31 – PB). She also finished 8th in the 100 free (52.17) and 23rd in the 50 fly (26.77) after setting best times of 52.15 and 26.69, respectively, during prelims, and she logged a best time of 1:09.50 in the 100 breast.
At the 2026 Illinois Senior Championships in March, Goldstone turned in another series of strong swims. She took 3rd in the 50 back (26.01 – PB), 9th in the 200 IM (2:09.04), 13th in the 100 back (58.62) and 15th in the 200 back (2:06.04 – PB). She also contested the 200 free (1:57.42).
Goldstone has competed at three consecutive Illinois High School Association state championships, starting as a freshman. At the 2025 IHSA Girls State Championship, she finished 18th in the 100 back (56.71 – PB) and 24th in the 200 IM (2:07.93 – PB).
Goldstone has qualified for a handful of top-level national and international competitions. At the 2026 Junior National Championships (LCM) in July, she contested the 50 free (27.88), 50 back (30.03) and 100 back (1:05.10). At the 2025 World Cup stop in Westmont (SCM) last October, she raced the 50 back (29.72) and 100 back (1:03.46).

A Division I Mid-Major program, the Miami women compete in the Mid-American Conference and took 4th at last season’s conference championships before sending one athlete, Chrisna Bezuidenhout, to compete at the NCAA Division I Women’s Championships. Bezuidenhout, who is now a senior on the team, finished 29th in the 200 back (1:53.80).
To earn a second swim at the 2026 Mid-American Championships, it took times of 23.25/50.54/1:50.57 in the 50/100/200 free and 55.26/2:00.54 in the 100/200 back, putting Goldstone outside the cutoff in each of her top events. On the team itself, Goldstone would have ranked 3rd in the 50 back, 6th in the 50 free and 100 free and 8th in the 100 back last season, putting her in a position to bring added depth in free and back events.
Joining Goldstone in Miami’s class of 2031 are Olivia Kamp, Ayla Madara, Julia Tengowski and Lila Gregory, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
