Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Aidyn Reese, a summer Junior Nationals qualifier and Florida high school state champion, has announced her verbal commitment to compete for Florida State University beginning in the fall of 2027.

“I am so thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my athletic and academic career at Florida State University. I would like to thank Coach Kyle Goller for always believing in me and helping me become a better person in and out the pool. I also want to thank Coach All and Coach KC for their nonstop support, as well as my family, friends, teammates, and all of the FSU coaches who have supported me throughout this amazing process. Can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life!! GOOO NOLES!!!”

Reese is currently a junior at Windemere High School in Orlando, where she has been a member of the varsity swimming and diving team since her freshman year. In addition to competing for Windemere, she also swims year-round with Laker Swim Club, where she excels at free, breast, fly and IM.

Reese has competed at the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association) Class 4A State Championship three years in a row, beginning as a freshman in 2023, with her top individual performances coming this past season in November. She placed 3rd in the 100 breast (1:04.09 – SB) and 4th in the 200 IM (2:04.95 – SB), as well as helping her team to a win in the 200 medley relay and a 3rd-place finish in the 200 free relay. Reese also clocked a new personal best in the 50 free with a time of 23.49 as the leadoff on the 200 free relay.

Windermere’s victory in the 200 medley relay marked Reese’s third state title in a relay event, as she was a part of the winning 200 free relay team both her freshman (2023) and sophomore (2024) years.

At the 2025 Florida Senior Championships (SCY) in March, Reese posted a series of strong performances and earned a second swim in each of her individual events. She placed 10th in the 200 breast (2:17.51), 13th in the 100 breast (1:04.15), 20th in the 50 free (24.12), 22nd in the 200 IM (2:08.99) and 37th in the 100 fly (57.79). She also finished 24th during the prelims of the 100 free (52.72) but opted not to swim the event again in finals.

A strong breaststroker, Reese set her current top times in the breaststroke events at the 2024 Florida Spring Senior Championships. She took the runner-up spot in the 200 breast in 2:15.83, dropping almost three seconds, and placed 5th in the 100 breast in 1:03.42 to shave half a second off of her time.

Over the summer, Reese raced at the Speedo Junior National Championships (LCM) in Irvine, CA. She contested the 50 breast and 100 breast, finishing 78th (34.01) and 95th (1:14.21), respectively.

Reese currently holds two Florida Swimming LSC records. Laker Swim Club’s relay team of Reese, Lilliana Krstolic, Lizzy Johnson and Rylee Erisman set the 15-16 girls’ record in the 800-yard free relay with a time of 7:15.35 at the 2025 Florida Spring Senior Championships. Meanwhile, back in 2023, Reese, Erisman, Krstolic and Andi Rutledge-Jukes broke the 13-14 girls’ 400-meter medley relay record in 4:21.41.

Best Times SCY

  • 100 breast – 1:03.42
  • 200 breast – 2:15.83
  • 50 free – 23.49
  • 100 free – 50.97
  • 200 IM – 2:04.34

A Division I program, Florida State competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference against NCAA powerhouses like UVA, Stanford and NC State. At the 2025 ACCs, the Seminoles placed 7th out of 15 teams before sending six athletes to compete at the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship, where they finished 36th overall.

To earn a second swim at the ACCs last season, it took times of 1:02.13/2:13.21 in the 100/200 breast, 22.41/48.72 in the 50/100 free and 1:58.69 in the 200 IM, putting Reese outside the cutoff in each of her top events. On the team itself, she would have ranked 3rd in the 200 breast and 5th in both the 100 breast and 200 IM last season, but with a season and a half to go until she arrives in Tallahassee, it remains to be seen just how the roster will shake out.

A dual athlete, Reese has played water polo for several years alongside swimming. Outside of the pool, she was named a Scholastic All-American two years in a row. The Reese family will take sibling rivalry to a new level in fall 2027, as Aidyn’s sister, Addison, is currently in her second year competing for the University of Florida.

Reese is currently the only confirmed commit for the Seminoles’ class of 2031.
