Winter Juniors Qualifier Ana LaRosa Becomes First Commitment In Tulane’s Class Of 2032

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Winter Juniors qualifier Ana LaRosa has announced her commitment to swim and study at Tulane University, becoming the first verbal in the Green Wave’s class of 2032. She publicized the news on SwimCloud, writing:

I am beyond blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Tulane University! First, I would like to thank my parents and siblings for their endless support and sacrifices throughout this journey. I would also like to thank my Bolles coaches, Coach Claire, Peter, Jake, Emmy and Alexis for pushing me, believing in me, and helping me through everything! In addition, I would like to thank all of my NAAC coaches who were the first people to motivate and inspire me to swim! Lastly I would like to thank all my friends and teammates who have been with me every step of this journey! I would not be the swimmer or person I am today without the amazing people surrounding me. A huge thank you to Coach Amanda and Coach Kat for giving me this incredible opportunity! SO excited for the next 4!! ROLL WAVE!!!!!

A junior at Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL, LaRosa has been a member of her school’s varsity swimming and diving team since her freshman year. She also trains year-round with Bolles School Sharks, where she primarily specializes in breaststroke and IM.

At the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 1A State Championships in November, LaRosa placed fourth in the 100 breast (1:03.56), a then-career best. She went even faster at the FL RAFC Winter Classic in December, swimming a 1:02.62 in the 100 breast that cleared the Winter Junior Championships cut of 1:03.09, along with lifetime bests of 2:17.38 in the 200 breast, just 0.19 seconds shy of the 2:17.19 cut, and 2:10.40 in the 200 IM. Over the course of the season, she dropped more than five seconds in the 200 breast, nearly two seconds in the 100 breast, and just over a second in the 200 IM.

LaRosa is in the midst of the 2026-27 high school postseason, with season bests of 1:04.81 in the 100 breast, 2:23.69 in the 200 breast, and 2:19.21 in the 200 IM, ahead of the FHSAA state meet later this month.

Top SCY Times:

  • 100 Breaststroke: 1:02.62
  • 200 Breaststroke: 2:17.38
  • 200 IM: 2:10.40

A Division I Mid-Major program, Tulane competes in the American Athletic Conference, with the women’s team placing fifth at last season’s conference championships. Based on the results from the 2026 American Conference Championships, LaRosa’s lifetime bests in both breaststroke events would have earned her a spot in the ‘B’ finals, while a 2:05.32 would have been needed to score in the 200 IM.
